Convocatorias

This Wednesday, July 6, we concluded the 2022-2023 call process "Activisms for good living" of Fondo Alquimia.

On this occasion, we selected 72 organizations from a total of 191 applicants from 15 of the 16 regions of Chile. Supporting the largest number of regional organizations is a priority for us, which is why in this call we selected 50 from regions and 22 from the Metropolitan region. Due to the multiplicity of initiatives and their relevance, we adjust the amounts of the contributions to support a greater number of organizations. In this way, we will deliver 386,000 dollars -which is equivalent to more than 347 million pesos- between August and November 2022. In the next few days we will contact each organization to announce the amount and date of the delivery of the contributions.

Key aspects of the selection process

The process to choose the organizations relied on a pre-selection made by the Executive Team and the support of territorial councilors, who played a key role in having more information on the new organizations. The final selection was made by our Board of Directors.

Regarding the aspects present when selecting, the capacity of organizations to establish alliances that would allow them to fulfill their purposes, the way in which they build communities and work to strengthen the social fabric was taken into account. The look oriented towards good living was another key aspect, so this year we prioritized those organizations that contribute to the definition of increasingly broad and comprehensive feminisms of reality. Regarding the strategies, one element that was present was the construction of new activist narratives, prioritizing organizations willing to occupy the public space and make their work visible with communication outlets that reach all communities.

We believe that the selected organizations are taking charge of how people, identities, indigenous peoples, LGBTIQ+ communities and sexual dissidents, migrants and the diversity of women that exist are living. The commitment to activism with an intersectional perspective has reached the defense of natural resources, water and land, gender violence, sexual and reproductive rights and the fight against all forms of violence, among others.

walking together

Every year through our call we have the possibility of seeing their proposals that provide a look at what is happening in the country through the voices of those who are working every day to improve their reality. We appreciate that you have trusted us to seek support for your initiatives, since the diversity of organizations and their work plans offer a hopeful look at the activism and work of social movements in Chile.

This year we are celebrating our 20th anniversary and we are moving towards a new stage where we want to work together with the organizations we support because we have common goals. We want to become part of what they are doing and walk together. And it is that the historical period that we are living challenges us to work together to open horizons in all areas of life: for autonomy, justice, freedom and respect for the human rights of all.

The selected organizations are the following:
